2the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.

1 Samuel 25:36-38

36And Abigail came to Nabal, and behold, ahe was holding a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. And Nabal’s heart bwas merry within him, for he was very drunk. So she told him nothing cat all until the morning light. 37In the morning, when the wine had gone out of Nabal, his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone. 38And about ten days later dthe Lord struck Nabal, and he died.

1 Samuel 30:16-17

David Defeats the Amalekites

16And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah. 17And David struck them down from twilight until the evening of the next day, and not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men, who mounted camels and fled.

Isaiah 22:12-14

12 In that day ethe Lord God of hosts
called for weeping and mourning,
for fbaldness and gwearing sackcloth;
13and behold, joy and gladness,
killing oxen and slaughtering sheep,
eating flesh and drinking wine.
h“Let us eat and drink,
for tomorrow we die.”
14The Lord of hosts ihas revealed himself in my ears:
“Surely jthis iniquity will not be atoned for you kuntil you die,”
says the Lord God of hosts.

Ezekiel 16:49-50

49Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, lexcess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy. 50They were haughty and mdid an abomination before me. So nI removed them, when I saw it.
